Quarry Wood (High Bickington Community Wood)

Quarry woods is a 5.5 acre woodland project created for the community of High Bickington in North Devon. It was planted in 2005 by 55 adults and 65 children. The woodland is managed by volunteers from the village and is used by villagers and community groups. We have worked with Devon Wildlife Trust, The Woodland Trust and North Devon Biosphere, to ensure the wood is managed in the best way to promote bio diversity. 2025 is our 20th Anniversary and to celebrate this milestone woodland events and activities have been planned throughout the year.
