Ciao! I’m Lorena, founder of Bake It Up!, certified baker, baking instructor and owner of Bake It Up! Bakehouse.

I was born in Italy, where food is never just food, it’s family, creativity, tradition and connection. For me, the kitchen has always been the place where I feel most at home, whether I’m experimenting with a new recipe, teaching a class or simply sharing something warm from the oven.

I created Bake It Up! in 2013 to bring baking lovers together, and it quickly grew into hands-on classes, workshops and a wonderful community. After completing the Baking Arts program at George Brown College, I became a Certified Baker and began teaching as a Chef Instructor for corporations, community organizations, private events and baking workshops.

Today, I also run Bake It Up! Bakehouse, where we create gourmet cookies, brownies and handcrafted baked goods, and you can find us at selected farmers’ markets throughout the Halton Region.

What I love most about teaching is seeing that moment when something finally clicks, when dough starts to make sense, a technique feels less intimidating, and someone realizes, I can actually do this! My classes are about more than following recipes. They’re about learning, creating, asking questions, sharing good food and enjoying the experience together.
