Angola Theatre
The Angola Theatre is more than just a place to watch movies, it's a community gathering space dedicated to preserving the magic of classic cinema.
In 2022, after encouragement from Mayor Thomas Whelan, Myra Pinker and Gary Cerne purchased the theatre with a vision to bring it back to life. For Myra, who grew up going to the theatre as a child, the motivation to restore this important community hub was deeply personal, rooted in her own cherished memories. Our goal was to honor the building's rich history while modernizing it for a new generation. We installed a state-of-the-art 4k projector for a pristine viewing experience and enhanced the amenities with a full-service concessions stand offering classics like popcorn and candy, as well as a bar with a curated selection of beer and wine.
After a three-year effort, the Angola Theatre officially reopened its doors in the summer of 2025.
We believe in the power of film and music to inspire, entertain, and connect people. Our mission is to provide an unforgettable entertainment experience in a setting that celebrates the golden age of Angola.
