I'm Lucy Sager, the owner behind Field Notes.

I'm a photographer, storyteller and educator based in Edmonton. Field Notes Photography is built around a simple idea: better photographs begin with paying attention.

My work has taken me across Canada and around the world, photographing wildlife, landscapes, communities and the small details that tell us something about place.

Field Notes workshops and photo walks are designed to make photography feel less intimidating and more curious. Whether you're learning to understand your camera, experimenting with macro photography, or simply looking for people to photograph alongside, you'll find small groups, thoughtful instruction and plenty of time to make photographs.
