FlipSide Theatre Collective is a Filipino-Canadian led theatre company based in Alberta, dedicated to highlighting and celebrating Filipino-Canadian talent across all areas of theatre making. As the Youth and Performing Arts program of the Philippine Festival Council of Alberta, we aim to produce bold, contemporary work that spans genres and stories not to define what Filipino stories are, but to change who gets to stand at the centre of the work.

We believe representation is not limited to subject matter. It lives in casting, creative leadership, rehearsal rooms, decision making tables, and who is trusted to carry a story. By prioritizing Filipino-Canadian artists in these spaces, FlipSide expands the theatre landscape rather than narrowing it, offering work that invites broader audiences while ensuring Filipino-Canadian talent is no longer invisible within the industry.

FlipSide exists to change the narrative by flipping it - turning a history of erasure into one of visibility, excellence, and possibility, and proving that when space is claimed with intention, everyone benefits.
