Kenton Zerbin is a teacher, designer and consultant who empowers others to repair degraded landscapes, grow food and build community. Starting his career with a Bachelor of Education, Kenton quickly learned the limitations and constraints of the well intentioned educational system. Seeking content relevant for preparing youth for a sustainable tomorrow, Kenton encountered Permaculture – a solution based movement orientated around common sense design for a people and a place.

After becoming a certified Permaculture Designer, Kenton brought permaculture into a High School but felt he could have a higher order of magnitude of change within the educational system…

An educational visionary and a catalyst for solution based change, Kenton is full of positive energy, passion and optimism. His ongoing career as a Permaculture Teacher and Designer has lead him across Australia, Canada, the United States and Barbados. Included in his journeys was a 10 week intensive internship under the tutelage of Geoff Lawton at The Permaculture Research Institute of Australia which was followed by a two acre earthworks and Food Forest installation. After initiating an independent teaching and consultancy company Kenton was hired as the PRI certified Permaculture Teacher for the Caribbean Permaculture Research Institute of Barbados. He now resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where he travels and teaches from.

Kenton continues to teach and travel abroad, ever learning and sharing his experiences. He has taught in three different countries and been a guest speaker for small gardening groups and Universities alike.
