About Maxine's Cakes

Maxine’s Cakes Ltd and Hackney Training Enterprise Associates (HTEA) were created by me, Maxine Boyce.

Through Maxine’s Cakes Ltd & HTEA I wanted to create a platform to help young single women as well as stay at home parents unlock their entrepreneurial potential and gain a greater independence. My overall vision would cultivate with the participating women manifesting their own beloved and profitable business ventures. I would and since have achieved these results through leading training classes and empowerment seminars through HTEA

Myself being one of many with a rough beginning, wanted to lead by example and while it is poetic to think in retrospect, some unfortunate occurrences are blessings in disguise as during 2010, I desperately needed to sustain my income, keep my independence and a roof over my head. I realised baking and selling through my home business Maxine’s Cakes, was something I very much loved to do at home, and I could, with serious thought, planning and management, turn into a profitable business.

I truly believe that if I can do it, anyone can. I am here. I am still standing and I can wholeheartedly say that from my experiences thus far with following my passion, it is always better late than never at all.
