Wanda M. Johnson founder, PREEMPT, Corp., oversees all operations on behalf of the company that is the premier provider of strategic Federal Government contracting services with an emphasis on Educating and Empowering people to also become Federal Government Contractors, Entrepreneurs & Career Experts. In addition, we provide preemptive strategies and solutions to private industry and the Federal Government in the areas of Civil Rights, Compliance and Certifications (EEO and Minority Small Businesses). PREEMPT is a successful graduate of the SBA’s 8(a) program and is currently a GSA Certified, EDWOSB business that has been awarded millions of dollars in Federal contracts. In addition, PREEMPT/ Wanda is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 small businesses program that encourages small business growth.

Wanda strongly believes in “Economic Empowerment through Equal Opportunity,” Entrepreneurship and Visionary leadership. In addition, Wanda has a legal background which she utilizes to ensure that PREEMPT and its clients remain in compliance with government regulations and labor/civil rights laws.

Prior to founding PREEMPT, Wanda practiced extensively in the areas of labor and employment law, including serving as an enforcement attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Solicitor’s Office. During Wanda’s tenure with the Department of Labor, she was responsible for assisting the government to debar companies and collect millions of dollars in back wages from numerous companies and federal contractors. In addition to practicing law, Wanda has served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Michael L. Rankin, District of Columbia Superior Court.

In addition to the above aforementioned affiliations, Wanda’s other professional affiliations include, Women Impacting Public Policy, PREEMPT-Businesses & Professionals Forum, Biz of EEO Podcast, Better Business Bureau, Goldman Sachs 10KSB Alum, former board member-Redding House Foundation, HU SBDC, SHRM, Human Capital Institute, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, DC, MD and PA Bars and has served previously on DC Procurement Task Force and has lectured to various DoD Mentor/Protégé firms, SBA, SCORE and other organizations. Wanda holds a law degree from Howard University, a bachelor’s degree from Delaware State University (Distinguished Alumnae) and is a Certified Mediator.
