What do we do?
Sunfire Studios is a multipurpose artistic space dedicated to nurturing creativity, fostering collaboration, and supporting artistic exploration in Strathcona and beyond. We provide a welcoming environment where artists and makers of all levels can develop their skills, showcase their work, and build meaningful connections.
Bringing together a diverse community of artists working across mediums such as glass art, textiles, jewellery, and other craft-based practices, Sunfire Studios is home to studio members, workshop instructors, and artists who contribute to exhibitions, events, and creative programs.

Our Purpose
The mandate for Sunfire Studios Inc. is to foster connection in the Vancouver Cultural community by offering a hub for events and smaller footprint studio space at a reasonable price. Our membership offers discounts to members of EAS and existing studio collectives. We are receptive to a variety of programming ideas.

Sunfire Studios is the perfect space for creatives who are looking to take the next step from a home-based practice to a studio environment within the Strathcona/Commercial Drive area. Becoming a part of our collective offers a welcoming place where artists can host events, teach workshops, present exhibitions, and engage with fellow creators and participate in The Culture Crawl.
Available on Location:
• 10 micro-studios suitable for a for a variety of makers including jewellery, glass fusing, bead making and textiles.
• Glass-fusing Studio (Just Kiln’ Time Workshops)
• Atrium / Gallery – a large Community Presentation and Gallery space for art shows, pop-up stores, and exhibitions.
• A Retail Store (Sunfire Art Mercantile) featuring the creative accessories designed by members of Sunfire Studios in Strathcona.

Everyone is welcome to Sunfire Studios! Sunfire Studios is a safe and inclusive place for all.
The space is a wheelchair-accessible on the ground floor of the historic Russell Hendrix building, at Clark and Venables.
We are on the 22 bus route and minutes-walk from the major studio hubs of 1000 Parker, The Mergatroid Building and Altelier.
