CBPRO at CCS
Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a national non-profit organization, based in the Greater Toronto Area. CCS aims to empower immigrants and refugees of all religions, ethnicities, countries of origin, immigration status, sexual orientation, or political affiliation to develop the skills and acquire the necessary knowledge to settle, integrate and succeed in Canada.
Our Capacity Building Project for Racialized Organization will equip small, racialized and Indigenous organizations with tools, knowledge, and resources related to applying for and managing government funding. It aims to contribute to a meaningful community of practice for organizations in the non-profit sector in Toronto, Durham, and Peel. This project involves a series of training sessions focused on various governance, project management, and funding related topics. Participants also have the benefits of group mentorship and networking opportunities.
This project will directly contribute to IRCC’s objective of “actively funding service provider organizations that are representative of Black, Indigenous Peoples and racialized persons at the executive and board of directors’ level” by providing racialized organizations with the tools, resources and connections to successfully apply for IRCC funding. Participating organizations are either comprised of racialized staff or serving racialized and/or ethno-culturally specific groups.
This project is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
