Greater Victoria Compost Education Centre & Fernwood NRG
The Greater Victoria Compost Education Centre and the Fernwood NRG are partnering to present a diverse speakers series in 2013 with reknowned educators on food security, permaculture, urban agriculture, and other topics.
Fernwood NRG is a social enterprising non-profit organization run by and for the residents of Fernwood, a neighbourhood in Victoria, BC. They are committed to creating a socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable neighbourhood.
The Greater Victoria Compost Edcuation Centre has been teaching children and adults how to compost and grow your own food for over 20 years. They have an extensive demonstration site which highlights a variety of urban agriculture techniques and host a diverse annual workshop series.
