Bereaved Families of Ontario South Central Region
Bereaved Families of Ontario is a non-profit, volunteer-driven, non-denominational organization that provides mutual aid bereavement programs for bereaved children, teens and adults of all ages. It is an association of families and individuals who have experienced the death and loss of a loved one.
The Bereaved Families of Ontario – South Central Region affiliate was formed in 1988 by a group of concerned parents, professionals, and individuals. It is Bereaved Families' experience that the people who often best understand this particular kind of grief are those who have experienced a similar tragedy. Our mission is to create a caring, compassionate, non-judgmental peer support and educational environment for individuals and families who are bereaved to connect with others and develop a better understanding of the powerful emotions of grief and loss. Bereaved Families of Ontario – South Central Region is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors with the guidance of a Professional Advisory Committee.
