Halifax Diverse

A project of the Sierra Club Canada Foundation Atlantic Chapter, Halifax Diverse is a nature literacy program geared towards engaging members of the public with any degree of experience with nature, from a ton to none.

Halifax Diverse Walks is aimed at individuals who would like to learn more about the fascinating natural history and environment of some of the Halifax's greatest urban wilderness treasures. Guided tours by guest monthly expert naturalists will provide a valuable resource for learning more about the parks we often take for granted.

We plan larger events when possible, including the incredibly successful Russell Lake Takes Root, in 2013. At this event, 300+ members of the community planted 1200 trees in a new urban park. We look forward to providing the community with other opportunities to get hands on with nature while learning something at the same time!
