Practical CBT delivers high quality training workshops across the UK, Ireland and internationally for therapists, counsellors, health care workers, educators and the general publicWe offer CPD programmes in anxiety, depression, anger, PTSD, couples counselling and other areas along with specialist sessions for SMEs and charitable organisations.A key part of our training programmes is the extensive resource guides we provide for all delegates.Our lead consultant, Professor Patrick McGhee is a CBT therapist, psychologist and UK National Teaching Fellow. In 2017 he was a Visiting Fellow/Scholar at the universities of Cornell, Yale and MIT in the USA.  He has taught, researched or practised in psychology and therapy for 30 years. He was Research Fellow in Psychiatry and Psychology at St George's Hospital Medical School, University of London. He is the author ofThinking Psychologically(Palgrave) and co-editor ofAccounting for Relationships.  He is an occasional columnist forthe Guardian,theBBCand theTimes Higher. He currently works in private practice and was a volunteer therapist in Greater Manchester for several years.
