The Community Energy Association accelerates bold action by local governments and Indigenous communities related to climate and energy. CEA grew from a committee established by the Government of BC and the Union of BC Municipalities in the 1990s and was incorporated as a non-profit in 2003.Today, CEA’s members and staff live in communities large and small and bring their collective expertise, experiences, commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, and passion to help lower local emissions and build healthy, resilient communities.

Builders, contractors, tradespeople, energy advisors, building officials:Join Community Energy Association for breakfast and a focused engagement session designed specifically for building professionals. This in-person event will be held across two locations: Nelson, and Invermere. The goal is to identify and discuss the essential support needed for building professionals to thrive in the evolving new build and retrofit industry. Gain insights from the latest industry landscape, with a focus on the current challenges and additional supports needed as identified in the most recent Contract Collective Community of Practice. Participate in interactive discussions at themed tables, each focusing on different support topics, such as networking, administrative resources, and more. Engage in two rounds of breakout sessions, where you'll have the chance to explore diverse topics and share your group's findings with the larger audience. This event is a prime opportunity to network with peers, exchange ideas, and contribute to shaping the future of the building industry. We look forward to your participation and input on what it takes to succeed in this dynamic field. Event is free but registration is required. As a token of our appreciation, attendees will be entered into a draw to win a $100 gift card to a local building supply store of their choice!
