With real-world examples, industry leaders will learn how leveraging bioinformatics can propel their companies forward, fostering competitiveness and growth in sectors essential to future energy, biomanufacturing, and healthcare solutions.About BioNet:Originally formed through a regional priorities partnership program grant between Genome Canada and Genome Alberta, BioNet Alberta is a capacity building initiative in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (B/CB). Through interactive network activities including monthly seminars, annual conferences and in-person educational sessions BioNet strives to inspire innovation through collaboration while identifying and unifying expertise in B/CB province wide. Moving forward BioNet has identified a need to connect with Albertan industry partners and post-secondary institutions to expand training programs in B/CB and find non-academic career paths for recent graduates. This will retain expertise across Alberta, resulting in increased B/CB capacity while providing value to local companies to expand and innovate with the opportunity to green light new projects in these fields.
