Join us as we explore the challenges facing BC forests and forestry through the documentary film Silvicola, a Q&A and a guided forest walk.

Details: Friday, October 11, at 9:30 am sharp meet at the <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/1xQ5Rkh8fbTpAo2A7" title="https://maps.app.goo.gl/1xQ5Rkh8fbTpAo2A7" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Starbucks</a> in Port Alberni, we will then drive to the forest near Stirling Arm. Walking tour starts at 10:00 am and goes until roughly 1:00 pm. We will be joined by Greg Herringer (RFT) Big Tree Hunter and BC Big Tree Registry. Please arrive on time so we travel as a group.More about the FilmSet in the rugged forests of B.C., Silvicola showcases the cultural and economic forces which compel and constrain modern forestry practices. Silvicola takes the viewer to remote spaces and worksites normally hidden from view and lets workers tell their stories.
