In this virtual session, learn how to intentionally cultivate a strong sense of place with Wil Brunner,

Do you have traditions or passions that are based on the natural world? How might local food, scenic spots, or native creatures enrich your life?Learn how to intentionally cultivate a strong sense of place with Wil Brunner, a certified Forest Therapy Guide at Soft Pine Wellness.This session will feature a guided nature-based meditation and several art and journalling prompts for you to explore and document how you are already in relationship with the natural world. A strong sense of place helps to create feelings of safety and personal wellbeing and can even help address strong emotions around climate change and other local concerns. You will leave this workshop with multiple ways to remember and nourish your unique connection to nearby nature.DETAILS:TIME: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. | DURATION: 1 hourVENUE: Online [ZOOM]DATE: December 3, 2024 Facilitator Bio:Wil Brunner has been facilitating Forest Bathing and community nature-based wellness experiences with Soft Pine Wellness since 2021. Previous to that, he offered wilderness-based counselling for teenagers in rehabilitation and lead years of environmental conservation and education programs. Wil is most passionate about supporting local people and communities on their journeys of building healthy connections to the natural world. Wil and his partner live on an historic piece of land on the South Mountain near Greenwood where they are practicing reciprocity with the land through flower and veggie gardens and creating awareness for Old Growth Acadian Forests and the nearby Fales River.
