Our society organizes events, develops projects, and helps new, emerging and established word artists grow and connect with one another. We live, work, and create with gratitude on the traditional territories of 14 Yukon First Nations.

Welcome to the Yukon Words Festival 2024 Opening Night with Bria Rose! Join us on Fri Nov 22, 2024 at 22:30 at the Old Firehall for a night filled with literary magic. Get ready to immerse yourself in a world of words, music, and creativity as we kick off this year's festival with a bang. Meet fellow book lovers, listen to inspiring authors, and celebrate the power of language. Don't miss out on this exciting event to start off the Yukon Words Festival in style!Admission by donation. Our opening event will feature Richard Van Camp with a short teaser reading and Bria Rose with her guitar, playing tunes and talking about her songwriting process. We’ll have a cash bar and offer light appetizersDoors Open at 6:45! Early arrival is encouraged!About the session: A glimpse into the songbookBria Rose shares her songwriting journey with Yukon Words. Her melodic stories will share themes of family, grief, and intimacy. Along with her performance and song insights, Bria Rose will dive into her creative process discussing her experiences of composing music and turning ideas into projects.Exchange and Refund PolicyPlease choose your tickets carefully.
