Teens can express themselves and have fun while working with a variety of art materials to create visual journals.

Join local artist Laur W. for an exciting workshop on creating visual journals with mixed media! This hands-on experience invites teens to express themselves using a variety of art materials.This course runs 3 consecutive Saturdays from 2:00pm - 4:00pm: Nov. 23, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 Where: Canopy Studios, 1723 9th St SW, Calgary Ages: 13 - 17Studies indicate that art-making and journaling fosters mindfulness, allowing individuals to focus on the present moment and enhance emotional expression. Creative practices can lower stress and anxiety levels, promote social connections, and boost self-esteem.
