Everyday life and access to information in the Covid-19 pandemic, stories from adults with deafblindness living in Sweden.

The objective was to give voice to adults with deafblindness living in Sweden experiences of the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on their everyday life and the possibilities to take part of information from the authorities. 
Social isolation and restrictions in access to information are part of reality for many persons living with deafblindness, and has been even more actualized this spring. In the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing has been the directive from the authorities to limit the spreading of the virus. 
We asked ten adults with deafblindness to share what has been the impact and challenges in their everyday life. Questions addressing the possibilities to access the information from the authorities were asked as well as what has been the challenges in taking part of information. The participants had different ways to communicate and also differed in terms of what kind of support they received from health care and social support services, and if they were working or not. 
The stories told by the individuals with deafblindness can point out important gaps that need to be addressed in the future to ensure access to information and support on equal terms in times of crisis such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
