Afternoon of Service - Snowflake & Holiday Crafting

The Experiential Education Department at UPEI helps students build bridges between their university learning and the world of work. Our office offers numerous free workshops and events to help UPEI students develop a range of personal and professional skills. We also support students through coordinating experiential learning opportunities, enabling students to apply what they are learning in the classroom in real world contexts while expanding their growth.

The Mount Continuing Care Community

Do you want to celebrate the holidays in a fun and meaningful way? Then join us for a special holiday volunteer opportunity with The Mount Continuing Care Community.The Mount Continuing Care Community is a wonderful place that provides quality care and support for seniors. They are all about creating a warm and friendly environment for their residents and guests.In this Afternoon of Service, you will get to spend the afternoon making snowflakes and other holiday crafts with the residents! You will brighten their day while gaining experience volunteering with a local organization.The Mount is located very close to UPEI at 141 Mount Edward Road. There is a trail that connects the UPEI Campus and the Mount. For this event, we will meet on campus and walk as a group to the Mount.All participants are asked to meet at the Career Studio, room 209 Dalton Hall on campus, at 2:10 p.m. Please be on time as we will be walking over to the Mount and won't be waiting for anyone if they're late.This event is free, and The Mount will provide all the necessary supplies.Don’t miss out on this fun and meaningful event!Register by Tuesday, December 12th at noon.If you have any questions, please contact Community and Industry Outreach Coordinator, Jess Cameron at jecameron@upei.ca
