Join us for a double bill of performance works by Raven Spirit Dance &amp; Friday Creeations. Tracing Bones, by Raven Spirit Dance, asks what memories do we hold onto, what do we tuck away and what do we allow to transform over time as we call our future selves into being? Tracing bones, rooting stories, casting dreams…Remembering our sovereign song. Bawaajgun: Visions IN Dreams, by Friday Creeations, is an excerpt of Thunderbird Rising premiering to ignite the transformative spirit of dance traveling through dimensional realms of existence - ancestors, dreams, blood memory and the land directly connected to our Anishinaabek way of living, awakening the healing of our Nation's future. Bawaajgun: Visions IN Deams combines traditional and contemporary dance elements featuring Christine Friday. Matriarchs Uprising is supported through The Dance Centre’s Special Projects and Partnerships program.
