Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) is an independent non-profit public art gallery committed to the acquisition, presentation, interpretation and dissemination of contemporary art for the benefit of the local arts community. Its programs explore a variety of issues and include exhibitions, talks, lectures, tours and publications. OAG has a growing permanent collection of historical and contemporary works associated with the region. It also houses the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art, which consists of more than 1,600 works of art assembled by Ottawa collectors O.J. and Isobel Firestone, who acquired the works from the early 1950s to the 1970s.__________

A fun 3-session sculpting workshop | Sculpter l’argile : 3 ateliers amusants

Join the OAG this February for a fun 3-session Creating with Clay workshop where we will be sculpting with air dry clay. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to build and decorate your very own personalized wall shelf. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is perfect for everyone. Come unleash your creativity and develop new skills alongside a friendly group of like-minded individuals at the Ottawa Art Gallery. We can’t wait to see what you create!  3 workshops will take place every Thursday from 4 PM to 6 PM on February 13, 20, and 27. This program is intended for adults of all skill levels. Workshops will be delivered in English and French. Venez en apprendre sur les techniques de sculptage d’argile autodurcissante ! Lors de cet atelier pratique, vous réaliserez votre propre tablette murale. Les ateliers seront adaptés, que vous en soyez à vos débuts, ou que vous ayez plus d'expérience. Venez réveiller votre créativité et acquérir de nouvelles compétences en compagnie d’un groupe de gens aussi passionnés que vous à la Galerie d'art d'Ottawa. Nous avons hâte de voir ce que vous allez créer ! Les 3 ateliers auront lieu le jeudi de 16 h à 18 h, du 13 février au 27 février. Ce programme s’adresse aux adultes de tous niveaux d'expérience. L’animation sera bilingue.
