The Seasoned Spoon is a non-profit, vegetarian, cooperative café located in Champlain College at Trent University. The café is committed to serving locally, and whenever possible, organically sourced food at affordable prices. A central part of our mandate as a not-for-profit community-based organization is also to offer educational opportunities to the campus and broader Peterborough community. This is realized primarily through paid and volunteer work positions, reskilling workshops, panel discussions, community meals, and student research projects. We endeavour to act as a space on campus where members can increase their awareness of food issues and be inspired to action.

Join us at the Spoon for this small and intensive workshop on making natural soap, with community member Tanya Kranc.

The Seasoned Spoon Café

<p>We warmly welcome Tanya Kranc back to the Spoon to guide us through the process of combining organic ingredients and blending them to make soap. This workshop is limited to 10 people and each participant will take home a dozen bars of soap. We will have lavender and peppermint essential oils, and you are welcome to bring your own essential oils to create your own unique scent! Tanya will provide guidance in what essential oils work best.</p><p>This workshop is $25 and registration is required.</p>
