We will explore the nature of the rushing mind through traditional Buddhist teachings from the Insight meditation tradition.

In a life filled with demands and distractions, is it possible to slow down and return to what is really important? In the 6-weeks of Dharma series, we will explore the nature of the mind through traditional Buddhist teachings from the Insight meditation tradition. Each week, we will meet on Zoom for a Dharma talk, guided meditation, relational practices and an opportunity to share/ask questions.This series will be taught in English, and questions and comments in both French and English are welcome and encouraged. Recordings of Dharma talks and guided meditations will also be made available.Please note: This is a class series and not a drop-in class. It is suggested that you have existing experience with mindfulness before signing up (e.g. you have completed an introduction to mindfulness course, have attended an Insight meditation retreat, and/or regularly attend a weekly meditation group).Dates: Wednesdays September 9, 16, 23, 30, October 14, and 21. *There is no class on Wednesday, October 7.Time: 6:30 - 8:30 PM ETCost: Sliding scale $10-$20-$35 plus dāna (donation) to the teacher. This payment scale allows participants to pay according to their financial means. The cost of the series covers curriculum research and design, and online teaching expenses, while another portion goes to non-profit organization True North Insight.Zoom: This series will be hosted on Zoom. A private link and password will be sent to you an hour before the event from the email address dawnmeditation@gmail.com.<h2>Teacher</h2>Dawn Mauricio (she/her) has been practicing and studying Insight Meditation since 2005, and has graduated from the first teacher development group of True North Insight, and Spirit Rock&#x27;s Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Training, Dedicated Practitioners&#x27; Program, and 4-year Retreat Teacher Training. She is known to teach with a playful, dynamic, and heartfelt approach, and leads daylongs, retreats, yearlong programs, and mindfulness workshops in Canada and the US for Spirit Rock, True North Insight, and for teens with Inward Bound Mindfulness Education.
