STEAM Activity Carousel

Founded by three Science teachers in Richmond Hill, The Steam Project is a collaborative approach to learning that allows both children and teens to enjoy Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics without the limitations of teaching or learning in a traditionally structured school setting. The Steam Project Team works to offer a deeper exploration of the interaction between science, technology, and design for youth by making new and emerging technology accessible to young minds.

The STEAM Project - Campus and Makerspace

Explore our Makerspace and the after school programs we offer at our STEAM Activity Carousel! At our 45-minute event try all four of our different STEAM activity stations:<ul><li>3D pens &amp; printing</li><li>Robotics &amp; Coding</li><li>Woodworking &amp; building</li><li>Electricity &amp; circuits</li></ul>Activities will be designed to your child&#x27;s specific age group, so make sure you sign up for the right timeslot for their age group!<ul><li>Grades 1-3: Fridays @ 5pm &amp; Saturdays @ 10am</li><li>Grades 3-6: Fridays @ 6pm &amp; Saturdays @ 11am</li><li>Grades 5-8: Fridays @ 7pm &amp; Saturdays @ 1pm</li></ul>You can even visit our t-shirt heatpress station, where you will get a free t-shirt and choose a custom design to be printed on top!Please note: This event is intended for new families only. We also ask that parents stay for the event to supervise their children.COVID-19: We will be following strict COVID-19 guidelines at our Makerspace to ensure safety for our guests and staff. <ol><li>Health screening questionnaire upon entry</li><li>Temperature check</li><li>Washing hands upon entry</li><li>Masks are required in our space</li><li>Individual work stations per family. Stations will be disinfected between groups.</li><li>Collecting e-mail addresses and phone numbers for contact tracing</li></ol>
