CAPSA is a national organization dedicated to reducing stigma and advancing health equity through:Education: Delivering training on Substance Use Health, systemic stigma, compassionate care, and fostering healthy workplaces.Research: Producing actionable insights from Canada’s largest evidence base of blended experiential knowledge with practice-based findings.Action: Co-leading and advising the design of programs, policies, and processes that are meaningful to those they serve from inception to completion.

This session will uncover biases on substance use and replace them with evidence-based information.

Join this transformative, evidenced-based, 2-hour training, that will uncover biases and shift perspectives towards people who use substances. Gain valuable insights into the negative effects of stigma and how this impacts everyone. Learn practical approaches to eliminate stigma in your professional and everyday life and explore the power of words by learning how to use person-first language. Engaging in this training is your opportunity to contribute to more compassionate societies and systems.
