Speaker Bios: Dallas Pierson, ACPSupervisor, North Zone, Alberta Health Services Emergency Medical Services With over 30 years in Public Safety and Emergency Services, Dallas Pierson brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Supervisor in Alberta Health Services EMS. Certified as an Advanced Care Paramedic, Professional Firefighter, and Business Continuity Planner, Dallas has extensive experience in frontline care, Incident and Emergency Management, Flight Medicine, Tactical EMS, and Special Operations.In addition to his EMS leadership, Dallas serves as a community firefighter and contributes to Special Operational Support and Strategic Planning for AHS EMS. His dedication to public safety and operational excellence defines his enduring career. Rhea Bell, MBA, ACPDeputy Registrar, Alberta College of Paramedics Rhea Bell is the Deputy Registrar at the Alberta College of Paramedics, where she leads initiatives to regulate and support the paramedic profession in Alberta. She oversees registration, implements government policies, and has driven key projects, including practice permit revisions and a new learning management system. Previously, Rhea managed EMS employee programs and facilitated reintegration at Alberta Health Services, focusing on psychological injury management and paramedic well-being. With an MBA, a Bachelor of Applied Business in Emergency Services Management, and an Advanced Care Paramedic designation, Rhea is dedicated to advancing leadership, fostering collaboration, and improving the health and resilience of paramedics across Canada. Luke Umble, ACP Chairperson, Emergency Services Department, Northwestern Polytechnic (NWP) With over 30 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Luke Umble is an accomplished leader and educator. Currently, as Chairperson at Northwestern Polytechnic, he successfully spearheaded the development of Alberta-accredited Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) programs. Luke has held pivotal leadership roles with organizations such as Portage College, Alberta Health Services, and Western Air Rescue Ltd. A certified EMS instructor and innovator in operational practices, Luke is dedicated to advancing EMS through education, collaboration, and a commitment to workplace excellence. His contributions to EMS and small business leadership have been widely recognized with multiple awards, underscoring his impact on the field.
