Information Session with Bank of Canada and RCMPCome join us for an informative session with representatives from the Bank of Canada and the RCMP at the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Centre. Learn about financial safety, fraud prevention, and how to protect yourself from scams. This in-person event is a great opportunity to ask questions and interact with experts in the field. Don't miss out on this valuable free training! RCMP Federal Policing Prevention and Engagement unit (FPPE) and the Bank of Canada currency department will offer presentations.The Bank's presentation will look at understanding Canadian / US currency and what security features they hold.The RCMP's FPPE Financial Integrity will look at how criminals are reaching out to victims and the top frauds to watch out for. Canadians are being victimized through increasingly sophisticated scams, learn what to do and how to spot a scam so you don’t become a victim!
