Join us on February 5th as Brad Bartko of DISAbility, Accessible by Design, shares all about careers in Accessibility Consulting

MentorAbility Alberta is offering ongoing FREE interactive Industry Information Sessions! These information sessions give participants the opportunity to learn more about prospective industries, recruitment requirements and qualifications, and the next steps they may need to take to achieve their employment goals. Join us for a virtual session with Brad Bartko, founder of Accessible by Design, on February 5th at 2pm MST. Brad is a disability specialist, accessibility consultant, and advocate who uses his lived experience with Cerebral Palsy to help businesses and organizations uncover barriers and create inclusive spaces. In this session, Brad will share his journey into the field of accessibility consultancy, discuss the importance of inclusion in the workplace, and outline the skills and steps needed to pursue a career in this impactful industry. Participants will also learn about Accessible by Design’s services, including accessibility assessments, structural design reviews, staff training, and advocacy work. By the end of the session, you’ll gain valuable insights into how you can make a difference in accessibility and inclusion while building a rewarding career. Brad will be available for questions at the end of the session should you have any further inquiries. This event is offered to all MentorAbility participants – so if you are a job seeker who experiences disability-related barriers to employment or a supportive employment service provider who wants to learn more about the industry, this event is for you!
