What if I am new to attending singles events and feeling nervous?

Accepted Answer

If you are new to these types of singles events and want to come but are hesitant and feel shy/anxious, feel free to mention it to your host upon arrival or send us a message before the event and don't worry- you will be taken care of!

Question 2

What if I am an introvert? Is this event for me?

Accepted Answer

We cater to all types of personalities and include activities suitable for all. Our events are designed with introverts in mind. In fact, at our event in April, an introverted woman met her current partner and is already in a serious committed relationship! She originally was terrified to come!

Question 3

What if I show up and I do not see anyone who I find attractive at first sight?

Accepted Answer

It is advised to come with an open mind. You may even meet someone of the same gender who may have a cousin/friend/coworker/etc who may be the perfect fit for you! Or you may walk away making a new friend or business contact. You never know what can happen so it is best to stay and see how it goes!

Question 4

What are the ages of the people who will show up?

Accepted Answer

Specific ages are not always known but keep an open mind. The perfect partner may not fit into your list of characteristics you are looking for and may be older or younger.

Question 5

Is there going to be an exact male-female gender ratio?

Accepted Answer

We never know exactly who will show up to the event in the end (people get sick/decide not to come at the last minute/have to cancel due to schedule conflicts/etc) but we strive for a balanced gender ratio. If there is a very unbalanced gender ratio, the event will be cancelled/postponed.

Question 6

How many potential people will I meet?

We take the “less is more” approach in that sometimes having less options is better to finding someone with shared values. Our events strive to combat “the paradox of choice” phenomenon which occurs while using dating apps/attending large events-having too many options may mean being less invested.

Question 7

If tickets in my gender category are sold out, can't I just buy the other gender tickets & show up?

Accepted Answer

No you cannot do this as it interferes with the gender balance & is dishonest/manipulative. If it appears that someone has bought a ticket for a category that is not theirs (e.g. if women's tickets are sold out and you buy a men's ticket) it will be refunded. We always have a waitlist.
