Heart of the City Festival 2020

Join Jumblies AD Ruth Howard as she reflects on the challenges in the process of art making during these isolating times. 

A gathering, moderated by Ruth Howard, Artistic Director of Jumblies, reflecting on the challenges of making art with people in these isolating times, and how values and practices of community arts can be upheld in new and surprising ways, including during the virtual residency just undertaken at the DTES Heart of the City Festival. 

Guest speakers will include: Stephen Lytton, Downtown Eastside resident and artist; Rafia Salam, Youth Mobilizer at MABELLEarts, Toronto; Miranda Bouchard, Artistic Director of Thinking Rock Community Arts in Northern Ontario; Tijana Spasic, Jumblies Artist and Outreach Coordinator and Interim Artistic Director of Arts4All; and possibly others from Vancouver and Toronto.
