Question 1

How does it work?

Accepted Answer

After payment, you'll be prompted to select your top three recipes from the list below, and we will let you know which one you've been assigned. Then you cook your dish to share! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_MVHquLW0fFqGCzOUYmE73vmap79xJMmRjdycB4GSuk/edit?usp=sharing

Question 2

I'm not sure if I'm a good enough cook.

Accepted Answer

We welcome cooks of all levels! Please feel free to email us if you think your selected recipe might be difficult to make. We're happy to recommend easier recipes from each cookbook.

Question 3

What happens if I can't make my dish in time for the event?

Accepted Answer

We're all home cooks here, so we don't expect anything perfect, and we understand things can sometimes go wrong. If this happens, we still want you to come! Please try and bring something to share (homemade or not)—we're trying to keep this a moocher-free zone!

Question 4

Can I cook or reheat my food at the event location?

Accepted Answer

The venue is allowing us to use their dining area, but their kitchen staff will not be present, so we'd like to avoid using their equipment. Please bring a ready-to-eat dish!

Question 5

What if I don't have the cookbook?

Accepted Answer

We understand that purchasing a new cookbook every quarter is not accessible to everyone. If you have the means to, please support cookbook authors, but we’re also happy to share recipes with you if you can’t access them. Another option is to borrow them from a friend or from the library.
