Navigating Community and Government Services for Self Care

Participants will receive a code so they can access module 1:Mental Health First Aid is offered to someone with an emerging mental health problem or in a mental health crisis until appropriate treatment is found or the situation is resolved.Black Canadians Experience disproportionately high levels of Mental Illness due to the ongoing stressors they experience. Black Canadians are more likely to experience mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and PTSD compared to the general population.NACCA is offering 15 FREE spots for Mental Health First Aid for the Black Community training facilitates.Here are the key details:  - Available spots: Limited to 15 participants3 Modules:1 self-paced module, mandatory to be completed one day before the course (by July 25th)1 full-day, in-person sessions (modules 2 and 3)Dates and Times:In-person sessions: July 26thTime: 8:30 am to 4:00 pmLocation: Community Safety Village, 3291 Stouffville Rd, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A 3W9This training presents a valuable opportunity to enhance understanding and support for mental health within the Black community.
