Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) is an independent non-profit public art gallery committed to the acquisition, presentation, interpretation and dissemination of contemporary art for the benefit of the local arts community. Its programs explore a variety of issues and include exhibitions, talks, lectures, tours and publications. OAG has a growing permanent collection of historical and contemporary works associated with the region. It also houses the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art, which consists of more than 1,600 works of art assembled by Ottawa collectors O.J. and Isobel Firestone, who acquired the works from the early 1950s to the 1970s.__________

Spencerville Gallery, level 3Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to learn about beading from the artist Natasha Myre and create their own beaded key chain.Participation is free but registration is required. Materials will be provided. Space is limited to 6 participants per workshop.Meet the ArtistNatasha Myre is an Indigenous artist born and raised in Ottawa. She has embraced the intricate craft of beading, learning the techniques and stories woven into every piece. Through her work, she honours the traditions of her ancestors while adding her own artistic voice, blending contemporary influences with time-honoured practices. Salle Spencerville, niveau 3Voici l'opportunité d'apprendre l'art du perlage avec l'artiste Natasha Myre et de créer votre propre porte-clés de perles.Participer est gratuit, mais l'inscription est requise/limite de 6 personnes par atelier. Le matériel sera fourni.L’artiste :Natasha Myre est une artiste autochtone qui est née et qui a grandi à Ottawa. Elle a adopté l'art complexe du perlage, apprenant les techniques et les histoires tissées dans chaque pièce. Elle combine des influences contemporaines et des pratiques ancestrales, tout en y ajoutant sa propre voix artistique, pour rendre hommage aux traditions de ses ancêtres.
