After the breakup of the Beatles in 1970, Paul McCartney and his wife Linda formed Wings, the most successful of the solo Beatles projects. Despite tribulations and personnel changes, Wings was the vehicle for a series of memorable hit songs through the 1970s, including "Band On The Run," "My Love," "Mull of Kintyre" and many more. Dr. Mike Daley Presents: The Paul McCartney and Wings Story is an informative and entertaining lecture-concert that follows the ups and downs of the group from Paul's first post-Beatles efforts through Wings' breakup at the end of the seventies. Performing alongside Mike on guitar and vocals is singer/percussionist Will Reid (The Paul Simon Story, The Fleetwood Mac Story), guitarist/singer Selena Evangeline (The Tina Turner Story, The Fleetwood Mac Story), bassist/singer Greg Wyard (The Rolling Stones Story, The Beatles Story) and violinist/pianist Jill Daley (all shows).The latest in a monthly series that has included sold-out lecture-concerts on Paul Simon, the Beatles, Tina Turner and Gordon Lightfoot, Dr. Mike Daley Presents: The Paul McCartney and Wings Story is a must-see for any music fan.Church of the Redeemer is a spacious and comfortable (cushioned chairs, not pews)1879 church with excellent sightlines and acoustics.
