Participants having taken MHFA training report that they are able to interact confidently about mental health with their family, friends, workplaces and other communities.Training will include the four most common mental health disorders: substance-related, mood-related, anxiety/trauma-related, and psychotic disorders, while also dispelling myths, misinformation, and stigma associated with mental health problems.Evidence gathered by the Mental Health Commission of Canada shows that taking a MHFA course increases the confidence participants have in engaging someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
