Will I be picked on?

NO!  Absolutely not.  Improv comedy isn't about picking on the audience. You're there to have fun, and so are we!

Question 2

Do I have to offer suggestions

Accepted Answer

Only if you want to!  For example, the host might ask: "Where do the people in this scene work?" The audience members might shout out: "Starbucks" or "In a mechanic's garage".    Not everyone wants to offer a suggestion and that is totally fine :-)

Do I have to participate?

Accepted Answer

Basically NO.  Only a few of the scenes require an audience participant (1-2 people only).  So, don't worry if you aren't interested in volunteering ... someone else will :-)

Question 4

Are the comedians really making everything up?

Absolutely!!!  Everything you see on the stage is 100% made up on the spot.  The improvisors know the structure of the scenes and the songs, but they find out what the scene/song topic is while they are onstage - no planning, no scripts.

Question 5

Is the show really dirty?  X-rated?

Accepted Answer

Not really.  You will likely hear some "F bombs".  There's some innuedo and some "nudge nudge, wink wink", but there's nothing overtly dirty.  There's no nudity.  There's nothing that would make your grandmother faint.

Does the venue serve food?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  You can order from the menu at Imperial Pub.  They have awesome burgers and lots of other options to choose from.
