This beginner-friendly course is designed to introduce you to the process of cutting dovetails using a combination of hand tools, a trim router, and a bandsaw.Through detailed demonstrations and expert instruction, you’ll learn the essential steps for laying out, cutting, and refining dovetails. Instead of reaching for a back saw we will use modern power-tool approaches, showing how a trim router can efficiently remove waste and how a bandsaw can streamline tail cutting while maintaining accuracy. Hand tools will still be used in this approach, but they will be in a supporting role.This course will also cover tool selection, sharpening, and setup, ensuring you understand how to get the best results from each method.
