About this eventFarm &amp; Food Care Ontario is seeking volunteers to help at our Breakfast on the Farm event in Norfolk, Ontario. This family-friendly event showcases the many different agricultural commodities, careers, opportunities, and advancements in modern farming and food production. Guests will enjoy interactive displays and exhibits highlighting the diversity of food produced in Ontario. Outgoing and friendly volunteers are needed to welcome our visitors and set the tone from the moment they arrive.Attendees will start their day at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds with a farm-fresh breakfast and interactive exhibits celebrating local agriculture. They’ll then travel by bus to Apple Hill Lavender for a guided tour through the apple orchard and lavender fields, complete with hands-on activities and farm and food displays.Date: Saturday, August 23, 2025Event Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.Where: Norfolk County Fairgrounds &amp; Apple Hill LavenderCommitment Details:<ul><li>We are asking that all volunteers arrive on-site by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025.</li></ul><ul><li>Volunteers will be provided with t-shirts identifying them as volunteers (Be sure to click on your t-shirt size) and are otherwise expected to be appropriately dressed for the weather.</li></ul><ul><li>There are a number of areas of the event that volunteers will be stationed at, including the registration and guest connection areas and along the route to and through the farm to answer questions about farm animals, crops and equipment. Volunteers are expected to be in their assigned area for the duration of the event.</li></ul><ul><li>Volunteers may be asked to assist with set up and clean up/tear down.</li></ul><ul><li>Breakfast and a volunteer lunch will be provided for all volunteers at the close of the event.</li></ul>FFCO is grateful for the passionate and hard-working volunteers that have made Breakfast on the Farm events so successful.
