At what building on SMU campus will the event take place?

Accepted Answer

We have booked a classroom on SMU campus and youth can be dropped off and picked up at this location. We will email all participants before the event to specify the exact address on SMU campus. We will run our "Exploration Mars" activity in this classroom prior to heading up to the observatory.

Will parking be included?

Yes, parking on SMU campus is free after 6 pm.

I would like to register multiple youth. How many adult chaperones are required for my group?

Accepted Answer

A maximum of 10 youth can attend the event for every adult chaperone that is registered for your group.

Question 5

How many adults can I register for this event?

Accepted Answer

A maximum of two adults per youth registered are permitted to attend this event. All adults attending the event are required to have at least one youth aged 9-13 with them.

Can I register for both the event on May 12 and the one on May13?

The events are identical so please sign up for one of the dates only.

How much do tickets for this event cost?

This event is completely free! Let's Talk Science Dalhousie receives funding from Dalhousie University and we are partnering with Saint Mary's University's Burke-Gaffney Observatory to provide this tour.

Is this event different than the Space Night event held in March 2025?

Accepted Answer

This event is identical to the Space Night event we hosted in March of 2025. We are hosting another two events this May because our event in March was such a big hit!
