Who is this workshop for?

This session is designed for Black women and gender-diverse folks who have experienced pregnancy, childbirth, reproductive health trauma, or are preparing to give birth. Whether you're currently pregnant, postpartum, or healing from past experiences — this space is for you.

Do I need to have given birth to attend?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. This session welcomes anyone who has experienced trauma related to reproductive care, pregnancy loss, or birth systems. It’s a space for storytelling, support, and collective healing — no matter where you are in your journey.

Question 3

Will I be expected to share my story?

Accepted Answer

No, sharing is always optional. You are encouraged to participate in whatever way feels safe and comfortable for you. Listening, witnessing, and simply being present is powerful too.

Question 4

Is this a therapy session?

Accepted Answer

This is not formal therapy, but it is a healing-informed and culturally safe space guided by experienced doulas and birth workers who deeply understand Black women’s reproductive realities.

Question 5

Is this session free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Thanks to funding from the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, this workshop is free to attend. Space is limited, so registration is required.
