DESCRIPTIONThis webinar will explore anti-racist and decolonial social work practice, focusing on the values, knowledge, and skills essential for ethical and transformative practice. Attendees will leave with practical knowledge to integrate anti-racist and decolonial principles into their professional and advocacy work.PRESENTERGaben Sanchez, RCSW, earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Utah in 1995 and is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Victoria School of Social Work in British Columbia. With over 25 years of dedicated experience, Gaben has supported immigrants and the 2SLGBTQ+ community. His diverse professional journey has taken him through roles at Community Health Centers, the US State Prison, and various hospitals. As an activist and educator, Gaben has led initiatives promoting decolonial, anti -racist, and inclusive practices.ZOOMThis event will be delivered on Zoom.
