Keele Station

Let's spend a day in the fabulous Ontario outdoors and enjoy a hike with an experienced hike leader. We will meet OUTSIDE the Keele Subway Station, at Keele and Bloor St West.The Kelso Conservation Area hike takes place in a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts at this 980-acre park with plenty of activities and sights to enjoy. Hundreds of picnic tables dot the rolling landscape and shelters are available for company and family picnics. Kelso also offers pristine campsites and hosts many special events throughout the year.From this lovely conservation area, we will continue the hike on a section of the rugged Bruce Trail and enjoy some spectacular vistas over the impressive Niagara Escarpment.Our CHARTER BUS will shuttle us from Toronto to this hiking site, located about 70 Km from the city. Length: 14 KmEVENT CATEGORY: Guided Hike - ScenicDIFFICULTY LEVEL: Intermediate – Previous experience hiking for 4+ hours requiredWHAT TO BRING: Water (at least 1.5 L). lunch and hiking shoes/ boots.WEATHER POLICY: In the event of hazardous weather conditions, this trip will be cancelled. The hike leader will monitor the weather forecast and notify all registered members at least 24 hours in advance to confirm or cancel the event (in the event of a light shower or light wind, the trip will not be cancelled.)TOTAL HIKING TIME: 5.0-5.5 hours hiking including lunch and breaks, depending on overall group pace.TIMELINE Meet our group at the bus pickup location below NO LATER than 8:30 AM. You will read and sign a waiver form and then board the bus at 8:45 AM.
