Home Game chronicles the love story between a city and a sport. Even before the Toronto Raptors and the rallying cry “We the North”, basketball in Toronto was deeply rooted in the evolving social and cultural conditions of our city and its people.

<h3>About the Event<br></h3><p>The myth is simple: all you need is a pair of sneakers and a ball. But for many families and youth, navigating basketball as a pathway to opportunity is far more complex.</p><p>Join us for an honest conversation about the pressures, politics, and possibilities of youth basketball in Toronto with local leaders like Dalton Higgins, Drew Ebanks, Warren Ward, and Nakissa Koomalsingh. From community programming to elite exposure, this panel brings together leaders who are building access, equity, and real support for the next generation of players.</p><p>We’ll explore how economics, mentorship, and infrastructure shape what’s possible and how community-rooted work is making a difference on and off the court.</p>

It’s a celebration of a city where the game is personal, political, and proudly homegrown.</p>
