Recognized as a Good Food Organization through Community Food Centres Canada, Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins (ACT) is a grassroots volunteer-driven, charitable organization. ACT is committed to increasing access to local, healthy and affordable food; facilitating education and skill-building related to community food matters; fostering community relationships that offer creative solutions to local food issues; and addressing gaps that prevent Timmins from being a food secure community.

Event Overview: Cooking with Community LeadersCooking with Community Leaders is a special recognition event celebrating the impact of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Grant. This support has been instrumental in revitalizing our Collective Cooking and Community Gardens programs—key initiatives that bring people together through food, skill-building, and shared purpose.At this event, local leaders will join us in the kitchen to prepare a community meal, offering a chance to connect, reflect, and celebrate resilience through food. It’s an opportunity to honour our collective efforts, showcase the growth made possible by OTF’s support, and continue building stronger, healthier communities—one dish at a time.We invite you to share in the stories, savour the flavours, and recognize the leadership that helps our community thrive.
