Join us for our Exploring Black Canadian History Teach-In as Natasha Henry discusses early black settlement in Upper Canada

<p>Join us February 3rd at 2:30pm for an interactive Teach-in with Natasha Henry from the Black Ontario History Society. During this teach-in Natasha will be exploring early Black settlement in upper Canada through historical documents and providing context on the contributions of Black Canadians to Ontario’s development. Natasha Henry is an educator, historian, and curriculum consultant. She is the president of the Ontario Black History Society. She is currently completing a PhD in History at York University, researching the enslavement of African people in early Ontario. Through her various professional, academic, and community roles, her work is grounded in her commitment to research, collect, preserve, and disseminate the histories of Black Canadians.</p>
