The Sunshine Garden is a community garden in the Fulton Place neighbourhood. Our vision is to cultivate personal, neighbourhood and environmental well being through a welcoming garden community.We aim to:cultivate community through a welcoming, accessible neighbourhood garden that provides opportunities for community partnershipsfertilize environmental stewardship by raising awareness about sustainable urban agriculturepollinate educational opportunities by sharing garden experiences, showing children how food is grown, and demonstrating a vibrant food gardengerminate healthy living by growing nutritious food, being physically active, and enjoying a peaceful place

The Sunshine Garden

This self-guided tour begins at the Sunshine Community Garden (6110 Fulton Road). You will receive a map, addresses and a brief description of what makes each garden special. Then, walk, bike or drive to unique gardens in the Greater Hardisty neighbourhood. The Fulton Place Garden Tour is both a ‘fund-raiser’ and a ‘friend-raiser’.<ul><li>Meet your neighbours and talk gardening</li><li>Explore a variety of gardens</li><li>Learn what grows well here</li><li>Get design and planting ideas</li><li>Enjoy the beauty of Fulton Place gardens</li></ul> Dates &amp; Tickets:Get your tickets early. Tickets will also be sold at the Sunshine Garden on the day of the tour (exact change please). You are welcome to attend one or both dates with your ticket.Kids under 15 are freeTickets are non-refundable and the tour will go on rain or shine.Refreshments will also be available for purchase. A guided bike tour will leave from the Sunshine Garden at 6:15 pm on both dates.<ul><li>Tuesday, June 17 (6:00 – 8:00 pm).</li><li>Wednesday, June 18 (6:00 – 8:00 pm)</li></ul> Thank you to all the volunteers who make the tour a success. Our warmest thanks and appreciation to the host gardeners who graciously open their private gardens to our ticket holders. NEW - $25 VIP TOUR – Monday, June 16th (LIMITED TICKETS) The Gardens:Gardens are chosen for quality and variety. The gardeners are passionate and ready to welcome visitors. Each garden has a particular charm and special features. Take time to really enjoy each garden. Things To Know Before You Go:The host gardeners have very generously opened their gardens to you. Please show your appreciation by following proper garden etiquette.<ul><li>Please stay on pathways, lawns or decks and patios. Avoid stepping in planted areas.</li><li>If you have small children with you, please help them to resist the temptation to pick flowers or tread on plants.</li><li>Please do not bring pets to the gardens.</li><li>While most garden hosts allow amateur photography, it is always best to ask the host before taking photos. If you do take photos, please be courteous. Check the Tour ticket for permissions.</li><li>Please be cautious when viewing gardens and note that not all areas will be fully accessible to those with mobility difficulties.</li><li>Washrooms are not available at the gardens.</li></ul> By purchasing a ticket to this event, you are waiving your right to sue for negligence, including the negligence of the property owner. The Fulton Place Community League, Fulton Place Community Garden and Host Gardens are not liable under this agreement.
