At one time a cedar and beech forest, at another a quarry, a dump and an industrial rail yard, the land occupied by Champ des Possibles has a rich and varied history. It also neighbors the Réseau-Vert linear park, located on the other side of the railroad line, which was to be the first link in a green corridor stretching over 100 kilometers. While this major project never came to fruition, a number of citizen initiatives have taken over on both sides of the tracks. This tour will provide an update on the ongoing transformation of the post-industrial wastelands along the rail corridor, and the many challenges that remain.
